The internal colonization and migrations from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary.

The process of the human mobility and the transformation of the settlement systems within the Euro-Mediterranean area. The Polo Museale of Sardinia, in cooperation with the Dipartimento di Storia, Beni Culturali e Territorio of the University of Cagliari, is hosting the 4th appointment of the seminar The internal colonization and migrations from the Middle Ages to the Contemporary. This event is going to take place in the conference room of the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari, in the Cittadella dei Musei, on Friday 16 March, 2018, from 16.00 to 20.00. The seminar will highlight the different methodological approaches to the history of communities, with special attention to the social dynamics that have affected the island.

The seminar will offer moments of reflection and comparison to the partition and reorganization processes of the settlement systems within the Euro-Mediterranean area, from the Middle Ages to the early modern age.  During this event, Giampaolo Salice, professor of the Dipartimento di Storia of the University of Cagliari will be the moderator and the analysis scientific coordinator. The director of the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari, Marcella Serreli, will introduce the event.
