One who is all. About a female statue at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari.

The Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari, during its promotion activities, is presenting a conference by Lorenzo Vollaro. The event will take place on Thursday, 11 October at 17.30, and is dedicated to the marble female sculpture that represents Isis-Fortuna. The statue dates back between the end of the second and the beginning of the third century AD.

Through an accurate iconographic analysis and comparison with other relics of the same kind found in various provinces of the Empire, we could better understand this fascinating object. The sculpture has never been the object of meticulous research, and constitutes a new evidence about the spread of the Isis cult in Sardinia during Roman times.  Furthermore, based on the studies of all the testimonies found on the island about Isis, and after recent research about  the subject, it could be feasible to assume that the probable origin of the statue could be ancient Karales.
