The Polo Museale of Sardinia, in collaboration with the Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G.P. Da Palestrina” of Cagliari and the Associazione Ensemble Spaziomusica Cagliari, is presenting the autumn concert of the DUO EUTERPE. The event will take place in the conference room of the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari on Thursday 14 November, 2019, at 18.00.
The musicians Elena Aguilar Gaulla at the piano and Francesco Mannis at the transverse flute will perform in a production titled Dal Romanticisom alla Salsa – From Romanticism to Salsa – and will play the music of
- Cesar FRANCK (1822-1890) Sonata in A Major, Allegretto Moderato, Allegro, Recitativo-Fantasia, Allegretto poco mosso;
- Ian CLARKE (1964-) Hypnosis;
- MIKE MOWER (1952-) Sonata Latino, Salsa Montunate, Rumbango, Bossa Merengova.
Elena Aguilar Gasulla and Francesco Mannis formed their duo in 2002, and have already performed, in addition to Spain and Italy, in prestigious halls and auditoriums in Latin America, Asia, Middle East, and Northern Europe. The DUO EUTERPE won more than 10 first places in national and internationals chamber music competitions, and have recorded a CD with original pieces for flute and piano of the Spanish composer Pau Jené, titled Il Percorso.
