A lecture by Annie Caubet titled A conversation about the exhibition “Idoli – Il potere dell’immagine” (Idols-The power of image). Venezia. Ligabue Foundation,  will be held on Tuesday, 4 December,  at 17.00, in the conference room of  the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari.

Annie Caubet is the honorary curator of the Louvre Museum, and of Idoli – Il potere dell’immagine (Idols-The power of image) exhibition. She will highlight the link between the exhibition promoted by the Foundation Giancarlo Ligabue, hosted at the Instituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti of Venezia, and the future exhibition Woman or goddess. The female representations during the Sardinian Pre-history and Proto-history period, that will be inaugurated on December 8, 2018, at the Museo Archeologico of Cagliari.

During the evening, Caubet will analyze three famous statuettes of the Museum collection from Cuccuru Is Arrius (Cabras), Turriga (Senorbì), and Porto Ferro (Alghero). These artifacts are currently kept in Venezia for the exhibition Idoli, but will be included in the new exhibition Woman or goddess. The female representation during the Sardinian Pre-history and Proto-history period, around the end of January 2019.
