Annually, Caprera hosts the celebrations for Clelia’s Pine tree, the famous tree that Giuseppe Garibaldi planted for the birth of his daughter Clelia in 1867.
On Monday 17 February, 2020, for its 153rd anniversary, the Compendio Garibaldino will welcome the Scuola Primaria istituto San Vincenzo of La Maddalena to participate in a guided tour that will begin and finish underneath the monumental tree, with a symbolic final merry-go-round.
All participants will be invited to create projects dedicated to this special day, between history and nature.
The finished artwork will be on display on Sunday, 1 March 2020, and all other Sundays of the same month, inside Giuseppe Garibaldi’s first small house.
