To learn more about the portraits from the permanent collection of the Giudici of Torres, the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Sassari is organizing a conference titled The Giudici of Torres between Art and History, on 28 April, 2018, at 10:30. Visitors will see the rich and diversified collection of the Pinacoteca in a new light, through the examination of the historic-scientific art, supported by historical sources.

Guest speakers:

Paolo Cau, from the Historical City Archives of the city of Sassari – Between history and invention, analysis of the Rulers of Torres – Fake paintings of the Sardinian seventeenth century;

Torquato Frulio, from the University of Sassari – Food and health of the Giudici;

Pinuccia Franca Simbula, from the University of Sassari – Eating with the Giudici;

 Tito Antonio Paolini – The Priorate of the ancient Contrada of Torres.

 Guided tours among the art collections of the Pinacoteca will follow the conference.
