On the occasion of the International Day for the Rights of the Disabled, the Polo Museale of Sardinia and the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari, in collaboration with the A.N.F.F.A.S and the Elementary School Umberto e Margherita of Cagliari, are presenting a new event titled The magic of the Nativity Scene, within the European Heritage Year. The event will take place in the conference room of the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari, in the Cittadella dei Musei, on Friday 14 December, 2018, at 9.30.
The Museum is organizing a special day that includes a guided tour and an educational workshop with the objective of improving the activities that promote a shared heritage fruition, and a dialogue between cultural diversities and social cohesion. The main protagonists of this shared meeting are the young people of ANFFAS (National Association of the families with members with intellectual and/or relational disabilities), and the children from the elementary school “Umberto e Margherita”. The workshop partecipants will create personalized Christmas cards and an invitation to visit the museum, taking inspiration from the story of the Nativity, painted on the Retablo of the nativity scene, and from the way the painter represented it.
Admission will be free for the event.
