The Polo Museale of Sardinia, in collaboration with the Conservatorio di Musica “G.P. Da Palestrina” of Cagliari, and the Associazione Ensemble Spaziomusica Cagliari, is presenting the fifth of ten concerts that will take place from 9 March to 8 June, 2019. The concert will be in the conference room of the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari, in the Cittadella dei Musei, on Saturday 13 April, 2019, at 18.00.
Marcella Serreli, art historian, will open the event with a lecture titled Paintings and memories of the Pinacoteca Nazionale: two fragments from the Church of Saint Domenico of Cagliari. The main object of the conference is to underline the role of a public museum as a place of heritage gathering and protection that was at risk to be totally lost. The institutions protected the memories throughout history, safeguarding the material relics that are still witness to the artistic furnishing of the city.
