Communication campaign. Garibaldi is alive and he does not stop.

Did you know that in 1835, in Marseille, Giuseppe Garibaldi was a voluntary nurse during a cholera epidemic?

This is one of many incredible episodes of his really fascinating life. Events like the story of one of his marriages that lasted just a few minutes, or Lincoln’s offer to lead an army during the American Civil War, or his adventurous journey on a sail ship from Peru to China, or the creation of Garibaldi’s Biscuits, still being produced today, during one of his visit to London, or the transfer by land of two war ships for 80 kilometers in Brazil (so much for Fitzcarraldo!), or when he saw an island being born off the coast of Sicily. So many experiences that, with simple but historically authentic aspects, will be recounted in the new campaign for the museums dedicated to Garibaldi in Caprera, a system of museums that includes the Compendio Garibaldino (Garibaldi’s house), and the Museo nazionale Memoriale of Forte Arbuticci.

Today, 19 March 2020, during the celebration of San Giuseppe, is the beginning of the campaign titled Garibaldi is alive and he does not stop, promoted by the Polo Museale of Sardinia, the organization that coordinates the museum and archaeological sites of the whole region.

Today’s release is closely linked to current events to underline its relevant concept: Garibaldi is alive, Garibaldi is ever more the Hero of our Worlds, as his commitment to topical causes such as women’s rights, animal protection, volunteer work, organic agriculture, landscape conservation, and Europe unity.

Communication is based on the pay-off Musei Garibaldini di Caprera. Where history is beautiful. It is also a reference to the incomparable beauty of the island of Caprera and of the archipelago of La Maddalena, the place where Giuseppe Garibaldi chose to spend the last, but still intense, part of his life.
