The tenth Edition of Skepto Film Festival, will take place from 3 to 6 April, 2019 with over 100 short films that will liven the streets of Cagliari district of Marina. The main object of this review of competitive nature is to give visibility to independent film makers from all over the world.
All citizens of Cagliari, enthusiasts, and tourists may experience the Festival typical atmospheres with free different genres projections from 24 countries at the City Hall Auditorium (in Pizzetta Dettori), and at the Hotel Marina (stairs of San Sepolcro).
This year event will be enriched by the collaboration with the Polo Museale of Sardinia that without delay and with great interest accepted the proposal to activate a cooperation channel with Skepto. This cultural networking wants to establish projects of dissemination, promotion, and knowledge of the island heritage.
The Festival is the cultural focal point, able to attract an increasingly vast and heterogeneous audience. This presentation has become one of the most awaited event for the city of Cagliari. Cagliari is home to the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, the most important museum of the Polo Museale. Moments of active sharing and participation such as these, are the added value for a city whose main object is to compete with the most interesting national and international realities.
The Polo Museale, with its intense activities, initiated a thick network of collaboration with Sardinan Region, Universities, Arts Academies, Conservatories, Foundations, etc., just to mention a few, since its year of establishment in 2014. It has been the promoter of the dialogue between institutions and associations activating innovative projects that combine different creative languages, figurative arts, graphic arts, literature, and cinema. This is why, the agreement with Skepto is an occasion for growth and mutual enrichment, witness of a shared will for a social and cultural growth within the national and international scene.
