A small historical photographs exhibition will be inaugurated to commemorate the 152nd anniversary of Clelia Garibaldi’s birth.
The photos depict some of her life moments. She died in 1959. The images displayed show a slant of the home life in Caprera, and they include moving portraits of Clelia as a child, such as the one where she sits next to her famous father already marked by old age, during her adult life, posing with fashionable clothing or wearing the traditional Sardinian costume, and a more matured and old Clelia smiling while celebrating her birthday with friends. Many photos include the famous pine tree that Giuseppe Garibaldi planted the day she was born, that still majestically greets the guests while visiting the house.
