Book presentation of Efisio. Martyrized by the Romans, sanctified by the Christians, cherished by the contemporaries.

Giovanna Damiani, director of the Polo Museale of Sardinia, and Roberto Concas, director of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari, are presenting the book titled Efisio. Martyrized by the Romans, sanctified by the Christians, cherished by the contemporaries. The event will take place in the conference room of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari on Saturday 15 December, 2018, at 17.00.

The book was edited by Roberto Concas, Anna Maria Marras, and Manuela Puddu, and it contains a collection of interventions of scientific authority that recapture the archaeological, artistic, historical, and anthropological themes discussed during the conferences and the interdisciplinary meetings.

The publication is aimed for a wide audience, and wants to pass on the knowledge tied to the historical figure of the Saint to the newer generations, enhancing the intangible aspects of the festivity, about which the UNESCO has started a recognition procedure.

The book appears to be a synthesis of the exhibition, that also was marked by the European Year of Culture, concluding a particularly rich year, full of initiatives for the Museo Archeologico of Cagliari.
