On Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., the Director of the Regional Directorate of Museums of Sardinia, Luana Toniolo, and the Director of the National Art Gallery of Sassari, Maria Paola Dettori, will open the exhibition All aboard! The voyages of ocean liners in the illustrations of Vittorio Accornero and Edina Altara.
The meeting between the two artists marks an important professional partnership that lasted from 1922, the year of their marriage, until 1934, the year of their separation.
The exhibition includes a rich selection of original sketches, posters, brochures and first-class menus created by Vittorio Accornero and Edina Altara between the 1920s and the 1950s, placing itself in continuity with the recent inauguration of a room in the Pinacoteca entirely dedicated to Edina Altara.
The exhibition will be on view until June 21, 2022.
