The Polo Museale of Sardinia, in collaboration with the Music Conservatory “G.P. da Palestrina” of Cagliari, and the Association Ensemble Spaziomusica Cagliari, is presenting the third of ten concerts that will take place from 9 March to 8 June, 2019. The concert will be in the conference room of the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari, in the Cittadella dei Musei, on Saturday 23 March, 2019, at 18.00.
Laura Lanzi, art historian, will open the evening with a brief lecture titled See with the hands, tactile journey in the Pinacoteca Nazionale of Cagliari. She will also be presenting two art pieces from the church of Saint Francis of Stampace in Cagliari, currently displayed in the Pinacoteca Nazionale. The altar piece of the Annunciation of Joan Mates (1420), and the tombstone of Guido De Dono by Antonio Baboccio, were part of the liturgical furnishings of the chapel of the Annunziata inside the church, and were the objects for a audio/tactile journey that made them available to the blind public.
The lecture will be followed by the Duo concert of clarinet and piano by Antonio Puglia and Mariano Meloni, who will perform the following music:
