The archaeological compound of Pranu Mutteddu of Goni. New archeo-astronomical studies.

An interesting appointment at the Museo Sanna of Sassari to examine the relationship between the architecture of monuments and the knowledge of celestial phenomena during ancient times.

To uncover the recent discoveries through an original interpretation, the Polo Museale of Sardinia, in collaboration with the Società Archeologica Sassarese, is hosting a symposium in the conference room of the Museo Nazionale Archeologico ed Etnografico “G.A. Sanna”, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 17.30 to 19.00. Michele Forteleoni from the Società Astronomica Turritana, and the archaeologist Simonetta Castia from the Circolo Culturale Aristeo, are presenting the event titled The archaeological compound of Pranu Mutteddu of Goni. New archeo-astronomical studies.

It is an opportunity to corroborate and evaluate, on a scientific basis, the presence of a symbolic interchange system, and the important spatial connections between the alignments and the groups of menhirs located at Pranu Mutteddu. Here the circle graves and the cultural structures are closely linked to nature and landscape in a spiritual dimension.
