The Septimia Musa mosaic returns to the Antiquarium Turritano in Porto Torres.
The mosaic art find was discovered in the 1960s at Balai, PortoTorres, and adorned a tomb. The inscription mentions the deceased Septimia Musa.
In September 2020 it was taken from the museum’s premises for major and delicate restoration work.
It will finally be relocated to its home, and to allow for transport and placement work, the Turritan Antiquarium will be closed to the public on Tuesday, May 24.
