European Night of Museums.

Saturday, May 14 will be the European Night of Museums, an event organized by the French Ministry of Culture, under the patronage of the Council of Europe, UNESCO and ICOM, and aimed at encouraging and promoting national and European cultural heritage.

Museums and archaeological areas will hold an extraordinary evening opening for three hours longer than normal visiting hours, at the symbolic price of 1 euro.

For the occasion, the National Art Gallery of Sassari will be open until 7 p.m. and, at 6 p.m., the musical review Il Filo Rosso will be hosted with a performance by Denise Gueye (voice) and Marco Carta (guitar) in a concert entitled Canciones Populares EspaƱolas.

Hours of operation: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

At the Sanna Museum in Sassari, it will be possible to see the exhibition Sulle tracce di Clemente from 8 to 11 p.m., and to view a short video recounting the planning and staging stages of the exhibition.

Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The Garibaldini Museums at Caprera will be open extraordinarily during the following hours:

Garibaldi Compendium from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., last admission 9:45 p.m.

Giuseppe Garibaldi Memorial from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., last admission 9:15 p.m.

The Giorgio Asproni National Archaeological Museum in Nuoro will welcome visitors from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., and at the Antiquarium Turritano in Porto Torres, on the other hand, the doors of the Museum and the Turris Libisonis Archaeological Area will be open continuously from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

In Cagliari, the early Christian Basilica of San Saturnino, one of the symbols of the city and one of the oldest monuments in the Mediterranean basin, will be open from 4 to 7 p.m.
