Book presentation “Racconti da Museo. Storytelling d’autore per il museo 4.0” and social tour.
The Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari is presenting a new book Racconti da Museo. Storytelling d’autore per il museo 4.0. This is another event related to the exhibition Efisio. Martyrized by the Romans, sanctified by the Christians, cherished by the contemporaries. The book was written by Cinzia Dal Maso, and was published by the Casa Editrice Edipuglia.
Cinzia Dal Maso is a journalist that writes about archaeology, cultural heritage communication, contemporary use of the past. She also writes about cultural tourism for the newspapers La Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore, and for other Italian and foreign magazines.
The book will be presented by Anna Maria Marras, an archaeologist and ICOM digital technology commission coordinator. She will outline the peculiarity of a museum narrator, a professional figure who is able to create new techniques for unique storytelling, and to tell of the museum and its objects. Marco Peri, art historian and museum teaching expert, will join the author during the presentation.
To create the storytelling atmosphere and to try to live the museum in a different way, the book presentation will be preceded by a social tour that will start at 16.30, with the participation of regional and peninsula social media. The museum collection and the finds of the exhibition Efisio will be described during the tours. Visitors may also participate in a photo competition, and have their best photos voted on the social networks. The winning photo will be used as cover for the museum for one day.
