On Monday, August 29, 2022, on the anniversary of Giuseppe Garibaldi’s wounding in Aspromonte, the Garibaldine Compendium will hold an extraordinary evening opening from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on its usual closing day.
Tools related to the hospitalization Giuseppe Garibaldi had to go through after he was the victim of a firefighting incident that injured his leg will be highlighted.
Visitors will thus be able to retrace that dramatic chapter in the Hero’s life spent in the solitude of Caprera. Among the memorabilia on display are a cast of the bullet that wounded Garibaldi and a handkerchief stained with blood from the wound.
