In its beautiful setting, the Compendio Garibaldino is presenting the book, Four Garibaldi in search of an author, written by Carolina Pernigo on Saturday 7 July. The volume analyzes and compares the different versions of the memories of Giuseppe Garibaldi, from his original manuscript, to the translations edited by Theodore Dwright, Speranza von Schwartz, Alexandre Dumas, and Francesco Carrano.
The presentation will be attended by the author, Carolina Pernigo; Stefano Tani, professor of Literature of the University of Verona and writer of the preface; Annita Garibaldi Jallet, great granddaughter of the Hero of the Two Worlds and president of the ANVRG, Garibaldi’s National Veterans Association. Gian Luca Moro of the Polo Museale of Sardinia, will be the moderator of the event. This will be an important occasion to learn about the least known aspects of one of the main characters of the Italian Renaissance.
