The path of Saint Efisio: a processional itinerary between monuments and archaeological sites.

Churches, nuraghi, and ancient cities that are time apart but close together through the connection of the figure of Saint Efisio.

The Museo Archeologico nazionale di Cagliari is presenting a conference by Giacomo Paglietti, scientific director of the park and archaeological museum Genna Maria of Villanovaforru and of the archaeological area of Santa Vittoria of Serri, titled the path of Saint Efisio: a processional itinerary between monuments and archaeological sites. The event is part of the initiatives associated with the exhibition Efisio. Martyrized by the Romans, sanctified by the Christians, cherished by the contemporaries, and will take place on Thursday 27 September, 2018 at 17,00.

The scholar will lead the audience along the devotional and cultural path that follows the procession that takes place on the 1st of May, and that wants to be an opportunity for sustainable tourism development strongly linked to the peculiarities of the territory. The path of Saint Efisio, as part of an upcoming religious and cultural itinerary, constitutes an important opportunity for the Sardinian and international communities to enjoy and complement the numerous architectonic monuments and archaeological sites present along the processional walk from Cagliari towards Pula.

Roberto Concas, director of the museum, will be the event moderator.
