The trial, the sentence, and the martyrdom of Saint Efisio.
The Museo Archeologico Nazionale of Cagliari is presenting a lecture by professor Graziano Fois titled The Passio of Saint Efisio: documents and reality. The event will highlight the scientific and updated information concerning the life of the Saint passed down by relevant documentation. This occurrence is one of the events linked to the exhibition Efisio. Maryrized by the Romans, sanctified by the Christians, cherished by the contemporaries.
The scholar will outline the contents of the codes kept in Sardinia and in the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, one of which dates back to the twelfth century, through a scientific and philological study of the documents from which the popular tradition draws information regarding the life of Saint Efisio.
This is the second event of various appointments scheduled on Thursdays, that involve the participation of experts and scholars for a cultural deepening on the great interest themes connected to the exhibition.
